[FAQ] Critical Errors and How to Fix Them

An error occurred while starting the client.

C:\ProgramData\ApplicationData\~C4D219.tmp

Solution : To restore the client's functionality, do the following:

Start > Run > regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Image File Execution Options

Open the l2.exe folder there.

Delete the location where .tmp is located.
Critical when selecting a server.

Solution : Create a ProgramData folder on drive C (it should look like this: C:\ProgramData), add the folder to the trusted zone for the Antivirus, run the l2.exe client, then an error may pop up when selecting a server. Click skip and start playing!

General protection fault!

History: UpdateAnimation <- AActor::Tick <- TickAllActors <- ULevel::Tick <- (NetMode=0) <- TickLevel <-

UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop

Solution : Most likely, the animation folder files are corrupted, or there's something wrong with the system. Try deleting the system and reinstalling. If that doesn't help, you need a new client.
